The social work team seeks to support people in becoming the protagonists of their own change. We focus on helping people to expand their skills and abilities. In the past five years of work, we have been able to develop the training programmes for the parents who are working with SKIP, always evaluating the process as we go.

We use different techniques and assessment tools in order to develop and manage work, so the system is reviewable and we are able to track positive changes and moves forward. We ensure that we have organised information, in order to be able to provide answers to families about a range of issues or situations that may occur. We conduct home visits to families in order to obtain information about the families, assisting in identifying difficulties and to help them in problem solving.

Finally, we establish and maintain alliances with other organisations in Trujillo in order to be able to provide as much support as possible to the families we are working with, for example in relation to health problems, among others.

One of the important tasks carried out by the Social Work team is family selection. In all its activities, the department works closely together with our Psychology team.
