We are committed to fair trade, our ethical product line ensures the SKIP (Supporting Kids in Peru) mothers are paid a fair price for their work.
SKIP is dedicated to helping families improve their economic situation in a sustainable way. One approach is through the provision of handicraft workshops where knowledgeable mothers of SKIP train other mothers to develop skills in jewellery making, sewing and knitting.
Working with a fashion designer from the UK we have developed the product range. All products are hand-made and a fair wage has been paid. Many people in El Porvenir and Alto Trujillo receive extremely low wage often more than four times smaller than what they receive for handicraft products and often in conditions which are unsanitary or have other negative consequences for their health.
